The Problem
Procurement ran on spreadsheets and email approvals. There was no record of who approved what, and requests stalled between departments with no way to see where they were sitting.
The Approach
Built the four document types on one lifecycle, with approval workflows configured on top: each step is assigned to a user, a role, or a department head, and can require all or any of them. Printed output is generated from DOCX templates an admin can replace, so the paperwork can change without a deploy. Laravel and React over PostgreSQL.
The Outcome
Every request follows a defined path with a record of each approval and its timestamp. Staff can see the current step of any document instead of asking around for it.
